approaching the first western foothills, i refresh myself at the last outpost of my eastern ancestors.
loading the wagon with our accoutrements, and twisted salt bread from the bakery down the road.
standing on the seaside, side by side with Nikolai, weapons in hand, slaying our foes.
finally, hurriedly, packing my satchel. leaving behind a crumbless larder. hmmm, what will we eat in the wagon?
using up our provisions, before we depart for the low country in the east.
pulling my triple rainwashed (aka long forgotten) cloak off the clothesline, it smells of mingled smoke and lanolin.
chatting about the land of my childhood.
eating a hearty soup, listening to tales of the day.

it’s looking unlikely that i’ll make it to the gathering of the clans at Lughnasa, this summer.
though my purse is empty, we’re eating well. Spring has been kind to the crops.

my wagon is nearly pack, in preparation for the winding road on to @TulCreggan.
even more quickly than they came, the clan has packed and gone, save for the Arch Drui, the future Arch Drui, and i.
eating pancakes & eggs with the clan, the morning after our ceremony. today the Combrogi are 1 woman stronger.

stepping into a small market that sells the salted bread so popular in the city of my childhood.
singlehandedly, armed with peanut butter, i have slain the indigenous mammalian life.
